Product Details
Swing check valve is a kind of automatic valve, which can prevent flow reversed in the pipeline. It is designed to prevent the medium in the pipeline from flowing back, as the pressure drops to zero, the valve shuts fully to prevent backflow. A swing check valve operation depends on gravity and reverse flow. A hinged disc will be opened or closed automatically depending on the flow pressure. Swing check valve is mounted with a disc that swings on a hinge or shaft. The disc swings off the seat to allow forward flow and when the flow is stopped, the disc swings back onto the seat to block reverse flow. The weight of the disc and the return flow has an impact on the shut-off characteristics of the valve. These valves are mainly used in unidirectional pipeline which only allow the fluid to flow in one direction to prevent any accident happened.

The swing check valves are mainly used in petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, fertilizer, power and other pipeline. It is also suitable for water and wastewater systems application because of the simple construction and low pressure drop across the valve.
